This privacy policy describes how AetherProxy ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Summary: AetherProxy does NOT collect, store, or share your personal data or browsing activity. Your proxy credentials are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to us.

1. What AetherProxy Does

AetherProxy is a networking tool that creates a local VPN tunnel on your Android device to route network traffic through your own SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy server. The app uses Android's built-in VpnService API.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party:

AetherProxy requests the BIND_VPN_SERVICE permission solely to create a local VPN tunnel that routes traffic through your configured proxy server. Specifically:

We do NOT share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with any third party. The only external service receiving data is Firebase (Google) for push notifications and basic analytics, as described above.

Your proxy credentials are stored locally on your device using Android's secure storage mechanisms. We do not have access to your credentials or any data stored on your device. All network communication between your device and your proxy server uses the protocol you configure (SOCKS5 or HTTP).
